The map of The Man in the High Castle depicts a world where Germany and Japan won World War II and divided the United States between them. The entire eastern portion of the United States, as well as the West Coast, are under Japanese control, while the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions are under German control. The neutral zone, a small region between the two powers, is home to various groups and individuals who have avoided being subjugated by either side. The map is an integral part of the alternate history world-building created by author Philip K. Dick in his novel of the same name, as well as the television series based on the novel.
